Counselling is an opportunity to talk through any concerns you may have with someone outside of your own situation. It allows people to discuss problems, any difficult feelings they encounter and offers a safe, confidential environment. Additional Terms
We shall agree on a date and times of your sessions and from then on, those times will be yours. Sessions will be for 50 minutes. Regularity and continuity are important for effective counselling as they give a sense of structure to the process.
If you arrive late for any reason, we will stop at the given time. This is to prevent appointments getting later throughout the day.
If you are unable to come for one of your appointments, please give 48 hours notice. It is sometimes possible to reschedule your session for a mutually convenient time.
Confidentiality: our sessions will be confidential. The exception to this is supervision. All counsellors must discuss their work with the more experienced supervisor in order to make sure they are working in their client’s best interests. However, the supervisor will not know your identity.
Please feel free to discuss any concerns you have about the counselling process with me, whether they occur to you at the outset or later on in the counselling process.
